6th World Conference on Research Integrity in Hong Kong Welcomes Abstract Submission through October 15, 2018

Sep. 27, 2018

Abstract submission is open for the 6th World Conference on Research Integrity to be held in Hong Kong June 2-5, 2018.  Co-organized by the University of Hong Kong and RMIT University in Melbourne, Australia, the conference is the most important global meeting on research integrity and has provided an interactive forum for researchers, educators, policy makers, journal editors, and institutional leaders to convene since the first conference in Lisbon in 2007.  This year's agenda emphasizes new challenges in research integrity arising from changes in the way research is conducted and assessed, including issues related to international collaborations, open science, and big data.  Topics such as integrity in innovation and impact, cultural differences, handling research misconduct, educational initiatives and new research in research integrity will be addressed in interactive workshops, plenary and concurrent sessions, and focus tracks.

Before and during the conference, participants will work on a set of recommendations for an optimal institutional reward system to foster research integrity. Building upon a recent expert panel paper on Assessing scientists for hiring, promotion, and tenure and three keynote lectures, a draft will be discussed and adapted.

The conference Co-Chairs and committees welcome attendees to contribute to discussions and join the international community of those committed to inspiring research integrity around the world.
