Getting Started on the OSF: A Hands-on Guide

Join our monthly webinars to explore a variety of use cases highlighting how OSF can support your open science practices and solve common problems many researchers face throughout the research lifecycle, while also providing a guided tour through key workflows and features.

Each session will feature an overview of the OSF followed by a Q&A session. It's a great opportunity to join us, learn, and ask any questions you might have.

Can't make it to the live session? You can still sign up to get the recording and resources sent to your inbox.

What is the OSF?

The Open Science Framework, or OSF, is a free open source online research platform that was designed to support researchers allowing them to openly and transparently share their work at all stages of the research lifecycle. The OSF was developed and continues to be maintained by the Center for Open Science (COS).

Research lifecycle with OSF

The OSF enables researchers through search and discovery—seeing what others are doing in their fields—designing their study using registrations and preregistrations, and also with OSF projects, providing a central space where researchers can collaboratively collect and analyze data during the research process. It then enables them to share their research outputs by publishing reports or preprints, or by sharing code, data, materials, and protocols.
