Researchers who use OSF will spend more time doing research and less time moving their work between the various tools they use to find, produce, document, and share it.
OSF Institutions works with your institution’s Identity Provider (See if yours is available through eduGain) so that researchers need to remember fewer passwords to use all of their tools. A detailed guide on the SSO function is available on GitHub. A sign in guide for your users can be found in the OSF Help Guides.
OSF is a free and open source project management tool that supports researchers throughout the project lifecycle.
It remains difficult to see the influence of cited and shared data, particularly outside of publications. OSF captures visit information to help measure how research data, code, and other materials are being visited.
Your researchers, as part of an OSF Institutions membership, will also receive priority user support as they become acclimated to the new tools and practices.
