Editorial Oversight

Lifecycle Journal has an Editorial Advisory Group composed of active researchers that will provide guidance on editorial policy and community guidelines. In rare cases, the Editorial Advisory Group can weigh in on individual submissions and evaluations. Lifecycle Journal does not have a traditional editor role that is assigned to every manuscript. The expectation is that the Editorial Advisory Group will help consider and navigate unusual or unexpected circumstances for submission and evaluation processes that occur in the pilot phase of Lifecycle Journal. These cases will inform maturation of the policies and processes for Lifecycle Journal. Editorial Advisors act as ambassadors to their respective research communities and serve an important role in ensuring Lifecycle Journal reflects the needs of scholarly communities. 

Some of the evaluation services that partner with Lifecycle Journal may have their own internal editorial oversight and/or editorial board that may provide review summaries or recommendations to help authors decide how to respond to evaluations. We value their guidance and encourage authors to carefully consider their comments, but ultimately authors are responsible for decisions around revision of their work and when to declare a VOR.
